I played with Mastermonk for around nine months in 2003/2004. We were essentially a prog rock band, with a good bit of metal thrown in. Then again, we also did a lot of definitely non-metal stuff – some jazz, some pop, some classical. Yeah, a very ambitious band. In my opinion, we were a good band with a lot of potential. We played two shows and managed to record an album at home, but internal tensions ensured the band didn’t last a day after we finished recording. It was fun while it lasted and I had a great time in the band.

The Band:
James Hines – bass
Hanalei Lamar – vocals
Bo Shupe – guitar/vocals
Bradford Skinner – drums
