Blind Anger is the only official Metal band I’ve played in, which is a bit strange since I love heavy metal. I was friends with Adam and Phil and they asked me to be in a band they were starting. I was only in the group for a very short time, from June to August of 1993 and then we did a “reunion” show in January of 1994. Actually, that reunion show was the very first gig I ever played.
I was doing Blind Anger at the same time as Miniver Cheevy and truthfully I didn’t like this band anywhere near as much as Cheevy. After 2 months of playing with them I just decided to stick with the band and music I had a passion for. I did return for that reunion show as a favor for the guys since Phil was leaving for the military. And truthfully, I had a very fun time at that show…even if I did get totally dissed by a girl afterward.
Mike played guitar with us for that one gig, and the rehearsals that led up to it, but he wasn’t there for the initial 3 months together. I know that Shane videotaped the show, and hopefully there’s a way I can get a hold of that. I’m sure it’s not that great, but I’d love to see it.
